yeah, but What will it be like?

If you're thinking about dropping by or you're new to our church family you may be wondering, "What is a VINEYARD Church, anyway?"

Well, the Vineyard is an association of individual churches or a "community of churches" that believes all the historical Christian creeds, truths and doctrines yet has some distinct characteristics and values that make the Vineyard somewhat unique.

We meet at the corner of Spring Street & Compass Avenue

Where the power of God will undoubtedly change you...

...but, you're accepted just the way you are!

And that leads to the last point. As Vineyard people we're among those who get excited by Jesus' words, "You will receive; power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses" ( Acts 1:8) and, I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing... ( John 14:12). We're learning how to live as empowered representatives of

his now, but not fully yet Kingdom.an invitation to all his followers, not just the special guys. It's a promise so big, it's intimidating to believe but so impacting that it's more frightening to discount.

We are not those who are satisfied simply being part of an American, Sunday morning, church culture. We're growing in a community of faith and experiencing God his love, his words, his touch, his gifts, and his changing power. So that we might be able to love Him back and cause others to encounter Him through us.

For starters, relationships are very important to us. We're kind of like a big family, growing together. After our meetings are over, some people head out to the parking lot but most hang around and talk over coffee or even make plans for lunch.

Authenticity is also an important value. We like to keep it real honest, culturally current, and relevant! This overflows in way the we dress, the style of music we play, the songs we sing, the talks we give, the way we speak about money, and the way we pray for one another. The only pressure you'll feel is to be yourself.

We also like to worship God. His presence is transforming. Becoming a passionate lover of God is an important part of your journey, so, grow in it at your own pace. We're not really fond of religious hype, anyway.
